Japan screws with OG…again. Rinne no Lagrange: Kamogawa Dream Match

The disc comes bundled with a game and original animation. The game, Kamogawa Dream Match, is an action shooting game where Orbit robots battle in the sky. It aims to faithfully reproduce the story of the TV series throughout its “Mission Mode.”

The game is due for PlayStation 3 on August 23 in Japan. Screenshots from the Famitsu preview can be seen below.

I hate online shopping. I really do. Someday I will play as Ultimate Cherry…someday. I assume since the game aims be a faithful adaptation of the 1st season, Cherry will possibly be a boss before she joins the party and the final boss will be Villa Nash.

Similar to Tekken Hybrid (Which came with an HD re-release of Tekken Tag Tournament and the mediocre movie, Tekken: Blood Vengeance), Rinne no Lagrange: Kamogawa Dream Match also includes the long awaited bonus OVA, Kamogawa Days. It focuses on Madoka, Lan, and Muginami. 70 minutes of bonus footage and a booklet will also be included.

Lastly, the 2nd season will be airing this July and I’ll be sure to bash a certain someone every step of the way. Said person better get ready.

Madoka Magica Portable trailer

It’s been a while since we’ve seen one of these but here’s another trailer for the upcoming PSP exclusive Madoka Magica Portable. Damn it, it’s like they WANT me to buy a PSV, because I’m assuming when this game hits the West, it’ll be released for the PSV. You cheeky bastards, why can’t PS3 owners get this as DLC or something?! Geez.

Grief Syndrome: A Madoka Magica Doujin Game

(I hope I won’t get screwed for this)

Grief Syndrome is an action game based on popular anime “Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magika.” There are five girls to choose from, and each comes with different arsenal. This game combines anime-style with hand drawn with pastel colour for background. RPG elements are also included where characters can raise their level. Another interesting feature is combo system and rewards that can be unlocked if meet certain conditions.

In short: Madoka + Metal Slug = 2D Awesomeness.

This game is a fun way to spend an afternoon with friends for some epic 3 player action as 3 of 5 (Plus some hidden characters. Requires 1.10 patch. Hint: To play as the 1st one press up. The other one can only be played as in multiplayer.) of our favorite heroines from the show.

Madoka with her arrows that become stronger when fully charged.

Homura with her trademark “time commando” style of combat,

Zero…I mean Sayaka,

Kyoko with her long range spear and spikes.

Lastly everyone’s favorite “head” of command and disturbing fanfic fodder Mami.

Each character along with their own fighting style comes with their own soul meter. Once that soul meter runs out, the character permanently dies in that playthrough and if you want to play as them again, you’ll have to start over. Each girl can die multiple times and come back for more as long as they have enough Soul Energy. The game has a level up system where the ladies’ stats become higher the more enemies you kill. Also, the enemies level up with you with each playthrough, meaning that the more times you beat the game, the stronger the enemies become next time you play, but that means more experience for your ladies. There are a total of 5 levels with a hidden one (Hint: fans of the show will easily figure out how to “release” this level.)

Overall this game kicks major ass and is definitely a must play for all Madoka fans.

PS: Two of the endings will bring smiles to the faces of “the nation”.

Transcending Ties (A Madoka Magica Poem)

The Dark Knight’s journey has only begun.
The valiant warrior with wings of noir
Venturing forth to confront the Netherworld spawns.
All while reminiscing within.
Once having seconds to spare now grown thin.
It waits for no one as it continues ticking.
How many times has this champion taken a licking.
Countless travels through an unknown continuum,
Uncertain destinations within a shattered equilibrium.
The same results in front of her head.
Her mind continuously full of dread.
Many tears were shed.
Transparent and crimson red.
Through the journey the knight encountered,
Tortured souls battling their kindred.
Twisted emotions through revelations so mean,
Is far too much for one only 15.

A once timid femme.
Now a cold, determined belle.
Armed with the ability to stop grandfather’s hands,
And multiple firearms of different brands.
Long wavy hair, dark as night.
Fighting against one’s fate is this lovely dark knight.
Upon reaching the final frontier.
The last battle was near.
Failure was not an option to protect one so dear.

Alas the poor Valkyrie was no match
For Walpurgis Nacht’s loathsome batch.
In the end one wish sealed the fate.
Of the knight’s destined soul mate.
An eternal duty to purge the mass.
Of a curse that plagued many young a lass.
Sorrow was present in the visage of the fighter.
As the ascended gal held her tighter.

A promise of love eternal.
Transcending ties with reality and maternal.
The threads of fate have been woven
Between the goddess and her dark Knight proven.
White and pure as snow
Is the love these two show.

Time will tell occasion

Of the destined reunification.

Until that day emerges,

The knight continues her skirmishes.
