Disgaea’s latest installment sees the return of familiar faces

Apparnelty, Nippon Ichi Studios had been working on a secret project entitled “Project D” for a while now and most NIS fans quickly speculated it to be the next Disgaea game…and they’re right.

The next installment in the popular Disgaea franchise entitled, Disgaea Dimension 2 (or D2), sees the return of three familiar faces, especially one Supreme Overlord Laharl. Whether he, Etna and Flonne will once again be the main protagonists in canon (and not as optional bosses to recruit) has yet to be revealed, along with any additional information on the title other than it coming out March 2013.

My best guess is the story will take place in an alternate dimension, hence the D2. Further evidence lies in Flonne’s appearance as she wasn’t a Fallen Angel in Disgaea 4 (Meaning she was wearing her traditional blue attire). This could mean neither Etna or Flonne left Laharl’s side in this game…or maybe it’ll be a midquel.

I bet most of my fans have no idea what I’m talking about. Don’t mine me. Just an NIS fan speculating stuff.

hmmm so dimensions would be next year(march right?), 5 would likely be 2014 (jan or feb), and 4 vita would likely be late 2014 (dec) given past history (for japan, about the same for NA just add 3-6 months) that’s a lot of disgaea, I can’t wait.
