I doubt I’ll be able to pick up a Wii-U right away but I do have planned on purchasing the console someday. Until then, here are some launch titles I’m quite intrigued to try out.
Bayonetta 2
Here’s my message to all the internet gaming community crybabies who are whining about this game being a Wii-U exclusive, GET OVER IT! It’s the oldest console marketing strategy in the book: Get a game many people want to buy and convince them to get the exclusive console it’s on. Threatening Nintendo and planning on committing fake suicide. What a bunch of losers. Be thankful this sequel which was initially cancelled, exists!
Rayman Legends.
Rayman Origins is one of the best platformers I’ve played this year (I didn’t buy it at launch) so a sequel is a MUST PLAY for me. The gimmick looks okay. I won’t judge it solely from a video. I’ll play it myself THEN decide whether it sucks or not.
New Super Mario Bros U
I REALLY didn’t want to bash New Super Mario Bros 2 but in the end, I’ll admit that it’s kinda underwhelming because it feels incredibly similar to New Super Mario Bros Wii. U on the other hand looks like a more interesting game based on this demo vid. Too bad the 3rd and 4th characters are still those darn Toads. They could have at least made a different 4th character. Oh well, at least you can play as your Mii.
Tekken Tag 2 Wii U Edition looks really neat but I think I’ll pick up the PS3 version instead since I REALLY am impatient when it comes to certain fighting games. Still, I’ll rent the Wii-U version sometime.
The creators of the super awesome Wii exclusive JRPG, Xenoblade Chronicles are working on another RPG for the Wii-U and I love me some JRPGs.
Epic Mickey 2 and Sonic All-Star Racing Transformed will also be available on PS3 so I won’t need to buy the Wii-U versions.
Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate. Never got into the MH franchise but there’s a new one coming for those who are interested.
Nice crop of titles. I do not think I will be getting the Wii-U anytime soon either (especially since I just brought my PS3 two days ago + Atelier Totori, Tales Of Graces F and Last Story for the wii. God, should of copied my saves from the rented system), but I am interested in the new Pikmin 3 title as well as that Zelda demo that shown at E3.
There are plenty of other games I’m interested in such as the other Nintendo exclusives like Smash Bros 4. I would really be psyched if they made another console Wario game that isn’t Game and Wario. It’s not that the Warioware games are bad, I’m just more of a fan of his platformers.
Likewise, I only just bought my PS3 recently so buying a new system will have to wait a while. If I’m really going to buy Wii-U though, Bayonetta 2 will be my top priority.
Wise choice dood.
I’d want to play ME3 Wii u edition, just to see if the added content is new, or just Dlc.
I’m not a Mass Effect fan but ME3 is there for those who can’t enough.
I’m pretty excited for a few games as well. Wonderful 101 (formerly P100) is just the Platinum project I’m looking forward to. Lego City Stories has the right amount of snark I’ve come to expect from a Lego game (only much bigger).
I’m not sold on Bayonetta 2 yet. I’ll probably rent the first one to see if I like it.
Scribblenauts Unlimited. With, the new object creator…the possibilities are just endless.
Pikmin 3 is the game I’ve been waiting for. (at least until a new Fire Emblem appears).
Those are just a few I’m looking forward to. We’ll try to get a Wii U at launch, or wait for a Black Friday bundle.
::HUGS::
Arca Jeth
I’m excited for any JRPG Nintendo has in store. Heck ,I’ll even play their next Paper Mario, not the 3DS one.
If you’ve ever played Devil May Cry or God of War, Bayonetta’s similar, mostly to GoW with its QTEs.
The Lego Game I want to play the most right now is Batman 2, though I’ll probably get that eventually.
I’ve never played any of the Pikmin games on Gamecube so I don’t know what to expect from the 3rd one. It looks like an RTS from what I’ve seen.
I think I’ll buy the games I REALLY want and wait till the console becomes reasonably affordable. $300 is too much for me.
hmm looking at wii u games & mention give wonder hmm give wait & see other games coming in next year & beyond.
