I think this show is trying to convey a message of music and its importance in people’s lives or something. I heard Sakamichi no Apollon did that with 60′s/70′s music. I’ll check Apollon out later. By the way, despite being a meanie to Polka, if music teacher her has a son, I’d gladly label her as a MILF. Matutu’s hot but music teacher, row row. Anyway, Polka chose a specific song for her team to sing but MT questioned Polka’s understanding of music and her ability to properly convey the song’s greatness…yet still let Polka give it a try.
I’m guessing Poo Poo’s personal issues with music and being an active member in Polka’s team at first has something to do with her probably deceased mom. We’ll find out eventually. At least Poo Poo loves cakes and demands Polka pay her with such.
After lots of trouble getting the team to the music hall on time and almost giving up, Matutu, being the awesome hottie she is, spanks some sense back into Polka as they both proceed to perform the song by themselves because the team’s bus didn’t arrive on time. At least Poo Poo was moved enough to play the piano and help Polka git ‘er done.
Matutu even looks good in a raincoat as she rides to the hospital to pick up the pregnant teacher and drive to the music hall. Awesome.

Music teacher is actually the vice-principal and there is a suspicion that she boned Poo Poo’s mommie, but then she married some dude and got pregnant with Poo Poo so now she grew into a bitter lesbian. (If you dont believe me just look at the OP again.) She probably also wrote the lyrics of the song that Polka performed.
If that were to be real, it would be one of the most interesting twists in anime this year. I’m keeping my fingers crossed on the slim chance it being true.
