The show at least knows what it’s spoofing. I’ll get to Medaka Box soon enough. After all, this person challenged me without knowing she did.
Sakura’s little miss perfect and I’m fine with that because she’s hot. Basically if Nyaruko-san were taller, cut her hair, worked out and were actually likable, you get Sakura. Despite being perfect and enjoying every single minute of being the woman all men want and the woman other women want dead, she’s actually pretty lonely…like 90% of all rich girls in anime, but I digress. Just draw her in a bikini or lingerie and I’ll be happy.
A spoof show wouldn’t be complete without a DBZ reference.
Next we have Momiji, goddess of misfortune, who was sent on a mission to restore the balance of fortune in Japan and get pissed off by looking at Sakura’s boobies, like 90% of all grouchy and carefree flat babes. Yes, Momiji’s hot to me.
Anyway, plot. Like I said, Sakura’s perfection (Looks at “her” angry face) is creating a disturbance in the force and Momiji’s here, with her man-faced teddy named…Teddy (Persona 4 reference?), fortune sucking needle and numerous ghastly powers to restore order and try to make Sakura a better, normal person (or so she claims.). Slapstick cat fights ensue and OG is happy.
The 1st episode’s touching moment (That will probably be a weekly thing in order to teach Sakura that being the luckiest person alive isn’t a good thing, or something like that) involves Sakura’s long time butler who gets a stroke due to him working so long for Sakura (Or so Momiji claims). It’s then we immediately learn that Sakura’s lonely despite hr grand fortune, you know, parents who are never around and all. You’veseen it all before. Of course everything works out in the end.
Before I conclude, I must ask once again, do ALL babes in comedy shows HAVE know the German Suplex? I don’t mind per se, it’s just that they COULD try something different, like a Brain Buster, Muscle Buster or a fricken Powerbomb.
Anyway, the show’s alright so far. As long as there aren’t any male love interests, permanent ones to be exact, I’m fine with it. Besides, I like Sakura 1000 times more than Nyaruko so it’s all good.
P.S.: If there’s one thing I like more than Ojou-sama laughter, it’s TERRIBLE OJOU-SAMA LAUGHTER!
