Saki – Side A episode 9: The Deathbringer Strikes

When we last left off the Dream Team, Kuro Cheesecake was not only starting off the semi-finals against the same girl who dominated her in the quarterfinals, but also a granny voiced, no slouch cutie and the Deathbringer of the squared circle herself. This won’t be an easy bout for the Gourmet Dragon.

Let’s take a look at how the 1st half went, shall we?

The match starts off slowly until the Psychonaut manages to land a Raven’s Curse (Tsumo. 2000, 4000) and seemingly get the beginning advantage…however,

Tepes Cross

The girls feel as though they are being watched by some unknown force, which so happens to be Teru’s Soul Vision. According to the pro, Teru bides her time during the 1st hand to see through the core of her opponents and then pwns for the rest of the match…which for most of the 1st half is exactly what happens.

Despite all of Toki and Granny Hall’s efforts (More on her later), Teru pwns and lands stronger blows with each punch and slam, mentally masturbating as she charges up one of her strongest attacks.

Finally, she’s ready to jizz and unleashes a devastating Styx Driver, piercing the younger Cheesecake’s sweet chest.

Even after using her signature Psycho Vision ability, it still wasn’t enough to stop Teru’s dominance. All hope seemed lost as Toki went into flashback mode for this week:

I now officially pronounce Toki and Ryuuka hitched.

Long story short, Toki reminisces about how she was named the new Ace by the Noble Core’s coach in place of the Tomboy. We also learn the obvious of how Toki got her 50% accurate Psycho Vision after a near death experience.

Lastly, she remembers that no matter what, she always enjoyed wrestling with her friends and wants to continue playing with less stress on her back.

Let’s talk about “Marvelous” Granny Hall.

This old lady disguised as a high school girl, besides saying marvelous a lot, has been trying from the break The Grim Teru’s winning hand streak from the start after her crushing defeat at the quarter finals by the Deathbringer’s hands, which she finally did after Toki figured out her plan.

Largest crowd pop of the night by far. Listen to those lesbian fangirls scream. Poor lonely men out there.

I don’t know what it is about Teru’s expression in this pic but I literally bust a gut laughing at how funny she looks here. Anyway, that one ray of hope wasn’t enough for even though Teru’s streak ended, she got back to slowly dominate all over again.

As for Kuro “the gourmet” Cheesecake…

Let’s hope for a Cheesecakarific 2nd half next week.

Bonus image. Looks like we’ll be getting a Dream Team X Nodoka Hart flashback next week as well.
