After last week’s…interesting beginning, let’s see what other bizarre events this week will have in store. This episode MGX episode 2.
So this week’s episode kicks off with our hero whose name I don’t care to remember (It’s Tsubaki) in a bit of a pickle. See, he and Urabe have been dating for a month now but…
Other than their daily drool ritual, not much progress has been made, so he asks his best friend for advice. While trying hard to deny the fact he has a girlfriend from his buddy, he comes up with 3 suggestions: Holding hands, communication and greetings. Basically it’s reverse order because Tsubaki asked so he can do it right.

During the Communication attempt, we get to see Urabe’s scissor skills in action. I don’t know how to make Mega gifs. that Wanabrar’s known for so I can’t capture Urabe’s mad skills. Hopefully he’ll once again grant my request.
During the 3rd attempt/failure, Urabe gives him candy he initially rejected. Feeling bad for having denied it at first, he hugs her from behind and…cardboard cutout.
4th attempt: Invite Urabe to the movies, failed.
Defeated, Tsubaki questions his status as Urabe’s dood, which she tells him to follow her to an abandoned building.
Basically Urabe wanted to prove their daily ritual wasn’t for naught and they’re bound by drool. At the building, she makes him close his eyes, taste her excitement powered super drool and feel how excited she is being his girlfriend, or something. It includes nosebleeds and shadow stripping. Oh, and he would have died had he opened his eyes for obvious reasons.
another ero dream.

3 clip explanation: Tsubaki dreams of them “doing it” with a doll tied to Urabe’s head, discreetly mentions it to Urabe, she uses her tornado spin to pick up some drool, nosebleeds and reveals she can read minds via drool. Now do you get the Drool of Fate subtitle (Threads of Fate)? Weird but the good kind of weird.
Next week…more stuff.
So yeah, a horny, yet somewhat determined guy with a mysterious girlfriend who is skilled at scissor-fu. While I’m still not getting the vibes Glothelegend has for the series, I’m still watching. The best compliment I have for this show is its old school animation. I guess Ozuma and Girlfriend X are bringing retro back to anime and I like it.

Dont forget Lupin III : Mine Fujiko to iu Onna, another great retro anime! Guess this is the retro season.
The drooling girl reminds me of Chizuru, from Yuru Yuri. For the drooling at least.
Chizuru doesn’t drool that much from what I remember. You’re right. I remembered you’re watching the Lupin III reboot. Thanks dood.
That last picture along, eyes and blushing with “hi-mit-su”. Tsubaki should have more dreams like that.
The voice actress doesn’t quite scream cute for me to be honest.
