    • Wouldn’t surprise me if they also went down. Look like after all these years, NOW the Internet Police is taking action. Let’s enjoy Filehosting while it lasts.

  1. i watch anime on crunchyroll but i dont think we can rely on them to get all the new anime. so i am forced to use the other websites.

even if they are closing, anime websites will probably find a way to continue what they are doing.

i hope more people will use crunchyroll so they can get more licenses.

    • I have a personal grudge with the CR community, which is why I quit and eventually formed this blog. In any case, I’ll only return to that site as a last resort. CR and Niconico are our last hope for anime goodness should Filehosting sites be eventually taken down.

  2. This really sucks. I’m going to miss mediafire, and not even for anime, but mods of games I play and such that should in all reality be perfectly fine to keep up, because they’re uploaded by the creators of the mods, for players. Goodbye internet freedom. If torrents should come to their resting place as well, it’s going to suck hardcdore.

    • Hopefully something good will happen and filehosting/torrents will live on no matter what happens to Mediafire and other torrent sites. I personally doubt either of the two will come to an end.

      • I do hope that is the case. I don’t want to go back to living in the 90s, or 80s because the government won’t stop trying to take our freedoms away.

    • Huh? the 90′s were really strict? How so? How long has the government been trying to take away our freedoms anyway? I thought they began going all out again after 9/11. Who am I kidding? They’ve been at it for a long time.

      • The 90s weren’t strict, they just sucked in terms of availability to the commoner. I had Windows 95 and AOL.. and right-click saving pictures was the biggest form of piracy next to that one music site, Napster. I’m just very happy the internet has changed so much since I first found it.
